personally after watching anime for years I have started to notice most studios are caring less and less about the quality assurance on the shows they work on... but when I watch a Gainex film it seems theres some visual things which were similar but the story is always something I didnt expect from an anime. Is that good? yeah, because it ends up being a interesting story with the dramatic drawings they do and yet the things they are doing in those drawings are full of meaning... this is what I would call Means nothing but means everything... Furi Kuri is the best I can say that does this :P
